Cuts
The “CUTS” Series From Giovanni Lunardi.
In his artwork, Giovanni plays with multiple printed images in order to add depth to pictures. His challenge is to transform the images from flat to 3D.
The Cut series was created with the idea placing multiple images on different layers, then cutting the upper layer in order to reveal what is under it.
Each artwork starts with a concept , then a photo shoot is scheduled with the necessary props. When Giovanni is happy with the images he took, he selects the final ones and, after any necessary retouching, the images are printed to size . The images are mounted in layers, with the image on the upper level cut and folded to reveal what is on the lower level.
Each artwork is mounted in a custom made matte black shadowbox with acrylic glazing.
All our images are printed with the finest archival inks and papers.
